Evening/Full Moon/Moonlight Paddles
Nothing is more beautiful than an evening paddle on the Bay!
These evening paddles begin in Back Creek and winds out behind Bay Tree Beach at the mouth of the York River. The cove is full of cow nose rays, eelgrass and untouched marsh lands that are beautiful in all seasons. Great blue heron and egrets are seen fishing in the inter-tidal flats along this entire paddle. If you are lucky, you might spot the bald eagle nest while exploring one of the winding marsh creeks at high tide! paddling back in toward the sunset or under the moonlight relaxes everyone for refreshments that are served at the end of the paddle.
Evening paddles are planned for sunset or moon rise and starting times may differ. This paddle is for adults only and is worth getting a sitter for!
