Sunset Paddles
Nothing is more beautiful than the sun setting over the Bay!
This paddle begins in Back Creek and winds out behind Bay Tree Beach at the mouth of the York River. The cove is full of cow nose rays, eelgrass and untouched marsh lands that are beautiful in all seasons. Great blue heron and egrets are seen fishing in the inter-tidal flats along this entire paddle. If you are lucky, you might spot the bald eagle nest while exploring one of the winding marsh creeks at high tide! Paddling back in towards the sunset relaxes everyone for refreshments that are served at the end of the paddle.
This paddle is for adults only and is worth getting a sitter for! |
