Virginia Naturally Partner Grants Program Awards Funding to Chesapeake Experience for Field Experiences for Local Students!

The Virginia Naturally Partner Grants Program administered by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality (VA DEQ) and funded in partnership with the NOAA Chesapeake Bay Office, awards one-time capacity building grants to community and non-formal organizations annually.  Chesapeake Experience will use this mini-grant award to purchase field equipment, kayaks and other educational supplies for meaningful field experiences for Hampton Roads school groups.  Chesapeake Experience will now have the capacity to accommodate entire class groups on local waterways to compliment classroom activities and lessons focused on Chesapeake Bay.  This award will compliment our Professional Development summer training courses for local teachers and allow us to provide student field experiences at reduced costs.  Please contact us if you are an educator interested in trips for the 2008-09 school year.
