Chesapeake Experience Awarded Grants for Week-long Teacher Trainings in 2008

During the week of June 16-20 and July 21-25, 30 Hampton Roads educators (grades 4-12) will participate in “Experience the Chesapeake Bay 2008: Educators Getting Up Close and Personal with the Chesapeake Bay Ecosystem”. This hands-on experience will provide a professional development training opportunity that highlights the ecosystem, classroom integration and implementation of meaningful field experiences that can be taken back to home schools and shared throughout the educational community.

Teachers will participate in multiple field trips, demonstrations, kayak excursions, water quality testing, journal writing and much more. If you are interested in participating, please contact Chesapeake Experience - space is limited!
